But I Can’t Change

Proverbs 13

3 Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.

4 Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper.

10 Pride leads to conflict; those who take advice are wise

12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.

13 People who despise advice are asking for trouble; those who respect a command will succeed.

The main point of this post is about thinking about what you do and actually putting the effort in to actually to it. Things don’t come easily in life. That’s a fact. For example, are you an aggressive, frustrated or stressed out person who believes that its ‘your nature’? Well i’m here to say that you can change. A lot of people want to change but aren’t willing to work for it. If you want to be calm, if you want to live in peace then you have to consciously change your ways, and it is possible. When you feel your getting stressed, when you want to shout, argue, just think of this proverb. It says how opening your mouth can ruin everything, it mentions how only those individuals who work will prosper. Saying ‘its my nature’, is just a way of getting out of work. Its a way of just giving up when the going gets stuff. Stick it out, trust me if i can, you can, and we’re talking 22 years of me saying to myself  ‘i can’t change’. To be honest i was just lacking in courage but the Lord gave me courage through His word and His grace. Don’t hope that you’ll change, go out there and do it.
