Coming into Fruition

Luke 13

6 Then Jesus told this story: “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed.

7 Finally, he said to his gardener, ‘I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’

8 “The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer.

9 If we get figs next year, fine. If not, then you can cut it down.’”

What do you understand from these verses? Lets say you’re the man, and the tree is an idea/vision/dream. The bible tends to use the word fruit in terms of being a ‘good product/result’. So I guess fruit would be your idea, dream or vision coming into fruition. [Hmmm, is that the  origin of the word?]

So theres an idea in your mind, and time and time again you think about it and the idea is still just that, an idea. You may wait months or years for some kind of result, for some kind of change yet nothing happens. You may say to yourself, ‘Nothing has come from the idea, what’s the point, i’ll just forget it, I’m wasting my time thinking about it’ However, a gardener, or lets say someone with more knowledge on these issues i.e. a psychologist, a counsellor, a pastor for example may say to you, ‘Don’t give up just yet, give yourself some more time, I’ll help you and I’ll give you tips and guidelines to help your idea come into fruition, if your idea produces results, great, and if not, then you know its not Yahuvahs plan’

Its all about trying, its all about effort and work. There are plenty of people out there who would love to help you put your ideas into action. I would like to help you, and I hope my tips and bible verses are helping. Don’t give up on your idea, your dream or vision. Work at it and you will produce fruit, it may not be now, but you will. Only when you’ve tried your hardest should you say, ‘ok, it wasn’t what i was supposed to do’. I suggest you keep pushing and make your dreams a reality seeing that when they do come true, we’ll know it was only by the grace of Yahuvah. Like the bible says you reap what you sow

When Yahuwshua came along. He tried and tried to save the Jews but they were just not listening, they were doing they’re own thing and they were no longer producing fruit for the Lord. Perhaps it was his first year that he spent trying to help the house of Israel, but many were too stubborn to listen, meaning that Yahuvah cut them off the tree and searched for new branches i.e. Gentiles.

If we consider plants and respouting, for example chives, then we’d know that once the green part has been cut off, the root does not have to become waste. If it is placed into water, new roots will form, and this can be placed into fresh soil and if it is regularly watered, the chive will sprout and it may be pruned. So in a way, what seemed like waste became useful and valuable.

The fresh soil was what Yahuwshua prepared as he ploughed. Roots began to grow from the seed that is the word. He will always b the vine, and anyone that accepts him into their hearts will be the branches.

Galations 6

9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Never forget what Yahuwshua did, how hard he tried to save the Jews. Even though it wasn’t to be he still had another plan which we see working daily.

Good luck guys!
