The Bible is a Guide to a Godly Life

1 Corinthians 3

18 Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise.

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say,

“He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.”

20 And again,

“The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise; he knows they are worthless.”

21 So don’t boast about following a particular human leader. For everything belongs to you—

22whether Paul or Apollos or Peter, or the world, or life and death, or the present and the future. Everything belongs to you,

23 and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

God has more wisdom than we could ever imagine and He imparts this wisdom to us through His word. Wisdom is the ability to separate opposites i.e. good from bad, right or wrong etc. The point is you must be strong and use what you’ve learnt from what Yahuvah has distinguished with his wisdom. We now must be able to distinguish [discern] with wisdom. Don’t just follow what someone else has told you to do, rather take what they said and follow your spirit and more importantly, the word. Reflect and think about what they said and think ‘is that what Jesus would do/say’. That goes for general things as well as unholy things. Personally, when i read the bible, i try to look beyond the words to the meaning. After all, the bible has been translated from hebrew, to greek, to latin to english and i’m sure a lot of the meaning has been lost.

There are some things in there that are sexist, homophobic but i don’t think Jesus would be against any good hearted person, especially since He was here to turn mankind to God.

We all interpret things differently, you may read the bible and come up with a different interpretation than mine. The responsibility lies with you to truly reflect on what you’ve read. I don’t expect you to just do or believe what I say, I’m just giving you tips which you may or may not use, its always will remain your decision.

Hopefully, as you and i continue, we’ll stop doing things our way and will start using the wisdom we gain from Yahuvah, because we really don’t know as much as we think we do, and compared to Gods wisdom, the most wise of us is a fool.
