Speculation is Not Absolute Truth

This is a continuation from the post on kindness to everyone.

2 Timothy 2

23 Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights.

24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.

25 Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.

26 Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

I ended the kindness to everyone post saying to live wisely amongst non-believers. I believe this goes for believers also, because not all Christians are aware of the truth.

Now if we are to be comrades with either believers or non believers, Paul gives us the advice of being patient with ‘difficult’ people and to avoid quarelling. He says to GENTLY teach them the truth and says we should be kind to EVERYONE.

There really is no point getting into arguments over certain interpretations of verses, or over the existence of Yahuvah. All we can do as followers of Christ is study the bible, understand what things mean for ourselves with the guidance of teachers and calmly pass this onto others. We shouldnt hold grudges in our hearts because one individual believes a certain thing and we believe another. Everyone will have their own opinion and even speculations on things but of course there is only one truth. As a reader of the bible, you may hear individuals taking verses out of context, they may have a hidden agenda and will claim to use ‘the truth’ to back it up. This is why its so important to have awareness of the truth because only the truth can set us free. Free from speculation, free from false teachings and opinions. We must use the mind that Yahuvah has given us to think ‘is that really true?’. God knew this kind of thing would happen. God knows that as time goes on people would get further and further away from the truth. Its part of human nature, we have the choice to sin. There are evil beings out there who want to bring down Yahuvahs kingdom. They want to instil bad news into unbelievers. The media pumps us with fear everyday. As Christians i feel we shouldnt entertain any nonsense from the media either. Should anyone speculate on such things, never take it as truth, always ask for proof of what they’re saying. Just like unbelievers of God perhaps are misinformed, try to lead them to the truth, but gently, without starting quarrels.

We shouldn’t completely avoid those who speculate, rather lets help Yahuvah in His pursuit to ‘change those peoples hearts’ as well as minds to learn the truth and ultimately escape the enemies trap.
