Interpretation of…. Isaiah 44

The LORD, Not Idols

6 “This is what the LORD says— Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty:
I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.

7 Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet to come— yes, let him foretell what will come.

8 Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no Read more of this post

Translation of… Taking the Lords Name In Vain

In vain means:

  1. Without success; ending in failure;

It is not so much about disrespecting Yahovahs name but more about misrepresenting him, something many Christians do without even realising it.

First we must be aware that we are created in his image [i.e. we are a shadow of him, and so we carry the responsibility of doing right by him and representing him correctly [by doing his will].

Patterns: Tabernacle, Sacrifice-Offering, Holy Spirit

Yahuvah is holy [qadash, set apart for specific purpose],  and only he can make us holy via sanctification. Those wanting to be holy must be removed from all thats ‘common’ else contact with impurities, unclean things will cause them to lose their status as holy.

The tabernacle was the place were Yahowah dwelled among men. Men however of course cannot match the holiness of Yahowah so they polluted it with their presence. The day of atonement was a day when the tabernacle was purified. The sanctuary of God after Yahouwshuas coming and resurrection is the body i.e. our body is a temple, it is the temple of where the holy spirit of God dwells.

Hebrew Word of the Day: Faith, Truth

Conveys the idea of a nail that is fastened to a ‘secure’ place e.g. a tent peg securing a tent; holding it upright.

As James 2:18 says, Faith without works is dead.

In the bible, faith is translated from this word which actually means firmness; someone firm in Read more of this post
